The organizing Statute and the balance of the formation documents for the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church -- Outside Ukraine
(UAOC--OU) are in English. These documents are authoritative on the rights, privileges and of obligations the UAOC--OU. The documents
have not been translated into Ukrainian in order to avoid and confusion on the meaning of the UAOC--OU’s organizational documents. The
meaning of specific words and terms in English based documents, due to centuries of litigation and commentary, are very clearly established.
The UAOC--OU’s formation documents therefore are based in English in order to provide the greatest certainty and clarity to their meaning.
